You may hire a Police Officer for events such as, street excavation, traffic control, private security etc. Officers can be hired in one of two ways. Either report to the Stamford Police Department in person to complete the necessary paperwork and submit payment, or you may complete the process online using the link below.

First time users will need to register on this system using a valid email address. After registration, you will receive a confirmation email with your user name and password which you will then use to logon and place your order.

Please note our system accepts Master Card or Visa only.

Any questions should be directed to the Stamford Police Department, Central Hiring Office, at 203-977-4425. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 12:00pm and 1:30pm to 10:00pm. In cases where there is a need for an immediate hiring of a police officer after Central Hiring has closed, please call the Stamford Police Department, Desk Sergeant, at 203-977-4958.
