Re-Opening Your Restaurant is as Easy as 1, 2, 3

1) Gather the Necessary Information

To apply for a Temporary Outdoor Dining Permit, you will need the following information and documents:

A sketch plan of the proposed layout of the outdoor dining space.
- In your sketch, please ensure that you include:
  - Tables, chairs, curbs, dimensions, barriers, property boundaries, entrances and exits.
  - Please make sure you note distances between tables, between chairs and distances from the curb to barriers.
Certificate of Insurance, at least in the amount of $1 million valid through November 30, 2020, for the restaurant and the public street in front of it.
If you don’t own the building, a Property Owner’s Authorization form signed by the building owner DOWNLOAD TEMPLATE HERE

2) Complete the Application Online

Once the complete application (including the required documents from 1.) is received, the City may schedule an appointment via ZOOM or phone with you. There will be representatives from all departments who will have to sign-off on the application and if necessary, they will ask for clarification or additional information. You will also able to ask them questions.

3) Get Ready to Reopen

Wait for your permit to be issued before opening. It will be sent to you electronically via email.

Familiarize yourself with the rules for operating your restaurant safely and train your staff.

If necessary, please acquire Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as hand sanitizer, masks, gloves cleaning products.
