The City of Stamford has started a campaign to create safer neighborhoods for all Stamford residents and is asking for residents' cooperation in keeping bulk waste and garbage off the sidewalks and streets. Additionally, residents are urged to be vigilant about identifying unsafe housing, which can be recognized by overcrowding and overflowing garbage receptacles, all of which can contribute to an unhealthy living environment.

The main concerns the City is targeting are:

  • Illegal Dumping
  • Safe Housing
  • Quality of Life

How you can help = Report it!

If you suspect overcrowded or unsafe housing units, please contact the Citizen Service Center or submit a report on FixIt Stamford.

If you witness a crime in progress, including illegal dumping, please call the Police and provide a detailed description of what you observe, as well as any information about the person or vehicle involved.

In the event that illegal dumping has already occurred in your neighborhood, please contact the Citizen Service Center or submit a report on FixIt Stamford.
